Terms of Service & Legal Notice

By visiting our site and/or purchasing products from Orion Build, you engage in our "Service" and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including all additional policies referenced herein.

1. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland (QLD), Australia, and the Commonwealth of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Accuracy of Site Information & Trademark Notice

We endeavor to present accurate product descriptions, millimeter sizing clearances, load tables, and pricing. Independent Construction Hardware Brand Notice: Orion Build is an independent designer and distributor of structural timber building hardware and framing connectors. Orion Build is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Simpson Strong-Tie, Pryda, MiTek, Bowens, Bunnings Group, or Carinya. Any comparative references are made strictly for functional specification, timber sizing standards (e.g., standard Australian 90mm and 100mm dressed square timber posts), and technical building clarity. Orion Build reserves the right to correct any inadvertent inaccuracies at any time without prior notice.

3. Structural Engineering, Cyclone Wind Uplift & Site Compliance Warning

MANDATORY STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING ADVISORY: Building pergolas, carports, decks, and load-bearing timber framing involves significant structural loads and environmental stresses. Always consult an accredited structural engineer or licensed builder and check local Australian council building regulations (including AS 1684 Residential Timber-Framed Construction) to ensure proper bracket selection for specific wind classification zones (e.g., N1 to N4 or cyclonic C1 to C4). Fastener Compatibility & Corrosion Notice: When installing in treated timber (such as ACQ or Copper Quat treated pine) or coastal marine environments within 1km of the ocean, only use hot-dipped galvanized or 316 marine stainless steel fasteners to prevent galvanic corrosion. Orion Build is not liable for structural deflection, timber collapse, improper concrete footing anchors, or building permit rejections resulting from uncertified installations or failure to adhere to engineering standards.
